IAAP offers the following types of membership:

Professional: An employed secretary or other qualified office professional, or a holder of the Certified Professional Secretary rating, or an employed teacher of business education.

Associate: An individual, firm, or educational institution that sustains the objectives of IAAP.

Professional Merited: A member who has been a professional member for five years at the time of retirement; and has either attained the age of 55 years or received forced work retirement because of physical disability.

Student:  A member who is enrolled full-time as a student of business education.
